Hi dear Visitor,
I am a professional Visual Artist with over 6 years of experience and I have worked as a freelance Graphic Designer for over 4 years. Since finishing my Master’s Degree in Fine Arts, along with short courses in Graphic Design, I have had the opportunity and freedom to experiment and explore my ideas fully, both online and offline.
I have been able to expand and develop my visual communication skills and I am now able to create more effective and convincing artworks. I feel I am investing much more of myself in my work and I am exploring ideas, different media, and techniques in addition to my main area of study.
I have a broad range of influences that I am inspired by. Nature and Geometry have always been a passion for me from an early age. I drew animals, plants and geometrical shapes on almost every piece of paper that came my way. The drawing was one of my mother's passions that unfortunately could not be developed for personal reasons, but I have been able to do so and make her proud.
After I graduated, I was determined to start a project called “Psychedelic Moods” with a series of works that revealed my feelings, emotions (as an artist), in contact with other people, to unfold an emotional transition between cold and warm.
The crazy characters that you will find in my art represent my childish, humourist temperament and sometimes build up new and unpredictable cycles of thought and associations with the cartoon characters. On the other side, the geometric shapes represent the power of honesty, acceptance, hard work, leadership, ambition, focus, self-motivation, self-belief, confidence, love, being grateful and the privilege and forthrightness that built me up as a person, with all of the challenges, twists and turns that hit me every day in my life. I feel like art gave me a way to express what I was feeling when I could not truly understand it myself.
Most of my works are painted in acrylic on different materials and reproduced on the screen and adapted to Graphic Design techniques.
Travelling and photography are also major interests of mine. I always try to capture and create fine-art images of places that I visit that could have a use in later projects.
I have a particular enthusiasm for paintings created by Andy Warhol, Victor Vasarely, Josef Albers, Damien Hirst, Bridget Riley, Frank Stella, Alex Grey, Amanda Sage, Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman, Theo van Doesburg, Paul Rand, Augusto de Campos, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Jurriaan Schrofer and many others.
